Many of the architectural shingles are protected from algae damage by Atlas’s Scotchgard technology, meaning these shingles are relatively low maintenance.

All Atlas shingles are offered in a range of colors, allowing for complete customization and the ability to find a product that perfectly matches your style. The manufacturer offers products that feature Core4™ Technology, which is an incredibly innovative development in the world of asphalt shingles. Roofing brand warranties

Pay special attention to roofing shingle warranties when you're shopping. A quality warranty will pay for a defective roof and the labor to remove it and put in a new one. With HireHaven, we'll have your back and make sure you're asking the right questions when the subject of a warranty comes up.

Finding a local roofer

You can choose a top shingle brand, and build your perfect style, but unless you have an experienced local contractor on your side, you'll be out of luck. Before you start your project, read our top tips for choosing a roofing contractor. Then, work with HireHaven to start your project, and we'll handle all the heavy-lifting by getting you multiple bids for your project. We'll then talk to you through the bids and give you exclusive advice on each contractor. Don't renovate alone!

Signs You Need a New Roof

You don’t need special training to spot many common issues from inside your home or from the street outside. We created a quick list of issues to look for:

1. Leaks and water damage. These are the most obvious signs that your roof is in need of repair or replacement. In your attic, check any dark corners with a flashlight for signs of water infiltration or sagging between the rafters. If you see any signs that water has leaked through the roof, it’s time to call in a professional.

2. Missing shingles. Do you notice any missing shingles when you look at your roof from the ground? If any shingles have blown away or detached from the roof, the underlying roof decking is not adequately protected and will become vulnerable to water damage.

3. Cracked or curled shingles. Do you see any shingles starting to wrinkle or buckle? Any curled edges? Use binoculars to get a closer look from ground level. Shingles will experience some normal weathering over time, but any pronounced curling or buckling could mean that your roof is coming to the end of its useful life.
