About Harvey Vinyl Windows
All three vinyl replacement windows include Energy Star certified thermal performance and, when installed by a Harvey Elite Dealer, an upgraded transferable lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on the window frame and components, and a 20 year warranty on the glass and seal.
But, what's the difference between the Classic, the Slimline and the Tribute? And what's right for your home? Let’s dig into the differences – car analogies included!
Harvey Vinyl Windows Lines
The Harvey Classic double hung window is Harvey’s most popular option — much like Toyota’s Camry is its most popular sedan. If you’re looking for a durable and beautiful window in a variety of colors and options at an affordable price, then look no further than the Classic vinyl window.
The Classic offers five interior color options and 28 exterior color options — twenty-eight! In addition to GBG (grids-between-glass) grid style, there’s an option for simulated divided lite or exterior applied grids for a more traditional look. It comes standard with welded frame sashes and a cam lock that’s color matched (white, almond & bronze) with two premium finishes available (brushed nickel & oil-rubbed bronze).
The Harvey Classic exceeds Energy Star requirements. But what does that mean? It means you’ll save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while insulating your home against the elements — more on Energy Star here. The Harvey Classic window does this via its two panes of glass with dual Low-E coating, Argon gas, and a warm edge spacer system (0.25 u-value).
The Classic is a great choice for homeowners looking to improve energy efficiency with quality windows, at an affordable price. These windows are installed starting around $550.
The Slimline is Harvey’s value vinyl window. If you’re looking for a no frills white window at a great value without compromising on thermal performance, the Harvey Slimline is the window for you.
As the name suggests, the Slimline has a slimmer profile. Some homeowners prefer the slightly slimmer sash and frame for maximizing their view, particularly for smaller windows. The Slimline also comes in a single hung for a bit more cost savings.
One of the potential drawbacks for the Slimline is that it only comes in white (interior & exterior) with a sweep lock and grids-between-glass (GBG) grids. It still has fully-welded sashes and two panes of glass with Low-E coating and Argon gas (0.30 u-value) which was Energy Star certified in 2015. There is an available upgrade to dual Low-E coating to meet the 2016 Energy Star requirements which is a 0.27 u-value.
The Slimline window is installed starting around $480.
The Tribute is Harvey’s premium vinyl window — much like the Avalon is the premium sedan option for Toyota. If you’re looking for a great looking vinyl window that emulates the look of a wood window with upgraded features including a better lock, better screen, and optional hardware options included, the Tribute is the window for you.
Compared to the Classic, the Harvey Tribute window has a contoured sash and glazing bead to provide a more sleek design that emulates traditional look of wood window. It comes with a dual action lock that eliminates the need for separate tilt latches and optional integral or applied lift handles for even more sophistication. The standard screen is the VIEWS screen, which offers 50% more natural light and visibility than the fiberglass mesh screen included with the Classic.
The Tribute window comes with the same color choices (28 exterior colors available), grid type, and hardware finish options as the Classic. It has two panes of glass with dual Low-E coating, Argon gas, and a warm edge spacer system (0.25 u-value) with an option to upgrade to a triple pane with Krypton for even better thermal performance (0.17 u-value).
The Tribute is installed starting around $600.
